WEST CARROLL OPEN STUDIOS

The 3200 West Carroll Studio Arts Building is the sister building to the Albany Carroll Arts Building, just one block away, has now fully come into its own. This four story Arts building on the corner of Kedzie and Carroll Avenue now houses 75+ nationally and internationally known artists in East Garfield Park. These Chicago based artists, once a year open their studio doors for the public to view their work and working spaces.

You will have the rare opportunity to chat with the artists directly, purchase and privately commission work and learn about future projects in a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy wine, cheese, refreshments and music along the way. Come and view the work of an extraordinary mix of talented artists, many of whom are graduates of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, who specialize in Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Fiber, Mixed Media, Performance, Film, Video and Animation, Design, Woodworking, Furniture Design, Illustration, Print Making and Photography.

As they open their studio doors, come and take this rare opportunity to personally meet these artists directly and have an exclusive look at their work and experience going from studio to studio viewing and enjoying these extraordinary private artist spaces. You will be experiencing some of the best and most cutting edge Art that Chicago has to offer. Special artists talks will be scheduled throughout the weekend for a more in depth exploration of the artist’s process and viewpoints. Come join us for a fun and an extraordinary art filled weekend!
